The Microsoft Research Team is currently looking for sharp and enthusiastic individuals to assist in Image Data Analyzation and Usability Research for some of Microsoft’s newest products, services, devices and features! The research team supports the optimization of Microsoft Products, Services, and features for next generation products and services. This role is focused around the annotation/judging/tagging of images and cutting edge features. This Data will then be used to build, and optimize software features and next generation products by improving overall image quality and description through artificial intelligence technology. Additionally, this team may assist with other projects across the Microsoft project portfolio. Being able to write fluently in French is required.
Attention to detail is very important for this role because Annotator’s will be evaluating image quality and providing/writing various descriptions/captions for the images to improve the accessibility, and capabilities of the Microsoft technology. A large focus of this project will be to increase the computer vision, cognitive services, and object recognition capabilities. The team is mainly looking for sharp and detailed-oriented individuals who are comfortable working with a computer and enjoy working with data, images, and technology. NO previous experience is required. Individuals on the team are free to determine their own schedules and time(s) that they wish to work/complete the weekly goals that are required for each weeks work. If individuals meet their weekly goals/expectations (which consist of a conservative average of annotating a designated set number of images) in less than 40 hours, they will STILL be paid for the entire 40 hour work week. If an individual successfully completes their weekly assigned tasks/annotation goals, they will be paid over $430+ each week for the work that they have completed. If they are unable to meet their assigned goals, they will still be paid for the hours that they worked. The main objective is for individuals to meet their weekly amount for annotating sets of images so that the development team can use the data each week to make the modifications to the technology. The central office for this position is located at Microsoft Studio’s in Redmond, but a vast majority of your time you will be working remote (from the comfort of your own home) with a laptop/computer that the team will provide you. Individuals who are interested must be able to start working by December 2017 for a 2-day orientation/training on Microsoft’s main campus in Redmond, WA. Traveling to Redmond for the 2-day training period with the team leads at the initial start of the project will be a requirement for this position. This job opportunity is extremely time sensitive and the team is setting up interviews immediately.
